Hotline thrift stores sell donated items, such as clothing, small household items and furniture. These funds directly support the needs of survivors and their children on a local level. The success of this fundraising effort is due to the large numbers of hours worked by store volunteers and the generosity of the community at large.
Hotline Thrift Shop Locations
Hotline operates four thrift stores (and partners with a 5th location in Rodanthe) that generate income to support the important work we do. Dedicated volunteers sort, price, and display merchandise donated to Hotline. The income generated by the thrift stores directly supports our clients and the community through our programs and services. Shoppers can browse and shop everything from clothing, housewares, tools, and books to furniture, accessories, and more! Merchandise constantly changes as newly donated items make their way to the sales floor.
We can only accept items that are in clean, sellable condition. Items that are dirty, missing parts, or damaged will not be accepted. Thank you for your understanding. Your tax-deductible donations of resaleable items are always appreciated.

We Can Pick UpIf your items are too large for you to drop off (like bedroom furniture, dining room furniture, living room furniture, and office furniture), we can schedule a time to pick them up.
Please call (252) 423-4675 Monday-Friday between the hours of 10:00 am to 3:00 pm to schedule a pick-up. If you’re calling outside of those hours, please consider calling back during business hours for quicker scheduling.

Thrift Shop Volunteers Needed
Outer Banks Hotline is supported by grant funds, donations, and fundraisers. Hotline Thrift Shops raise money to support safe shelter and many community service programs such as anti-bullying education in public schools, support groups, abuse treatment, and more. All thrift shop donations are sorted, priced, displayed, and sold by volunteers. Each shop has one paid manager (except Rodanthe, which is ALL volunteer) and many energetic and creative volunteers. If you like yard sales, treasure hunting, tinkering, fashion, or decorating, you’ll love the work and fellowship of the thrift shops. Call or stop by a thrift shop near you to take a shift.
