Hotline Outer Banks joined community partners from across Dare County at the 17th Annual KidsFest held May 8, 2026 and hosted by the Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County (CYP) at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo.
As part of the event, Hotline advocates connected with children and families through fun activities including flamingo ring toss, bubbles, and giveaways such as fidget spinners, whistles, and candy. The event provides opportunities for advocates to speak with adults about Hotline’s services and share information about support available within the community.
KidsFest also highlighted the importance of Hotline Outer Banks’ ongoing partnerships with local first responders and public safety agencies. Law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and Hotline advocates regularly work together throughout the year to support individuals and families experiencing crisis situations across the Outer Banks. These trusted partnerships help ensure survivors can access compassionate support, safety resources, and emergency assistance when it is needed most.
Events like KidsFest allow those relationships to extend beyond emergency situations by creating opportunities for families to connect with community organizations in a welcoming, positive environment. Hotline Outer Banks is proud to stand alongside fellow community partners working together to support the safety and well-being of children and families throughout Dare County.
